The inaugural 2013 New York International Olive Oil Competition results are out – and there is reason to chant ‘ Aussie Oi Oi Oil!’
The flagship ALTO Vividus was awarded a Silver Medal to rank among the top tier Extra Virgin oils of this prestigious international competition, alongside other successful Australian oils from Cobram Estate and Rylstone.
The 700 entries showcased the world’s best producers from Italy, Spain and California but the Australian oils stole the show.
According to AOA head Lisa Rowntree the Big Apple competition results vouched that ‘Australian Extra Virgin olive oils are now regarded as some of the world’s best. The Australian olive industry prides itself on producing fresh, high quality, authentic Extra Virgin olive oils, another great reason for Australian shoppers to look for fresh Australian Extra Virgin olive oil.’
