01 Oct DOUBLE CHAMPION AT SYDNEY ROYAL
ALTO Olives has marked its first season under new ownership with a double Champion result at the 2026 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, one of only two producers across the entire competition to take home two Champion awards.
The flagship ALTO Vividus, crafted from the uniquely Australian Hardy’s Mammoth variety, was named Champion Boutique Extra Virgin Olive Oil, while ALTO Robust took out Champion Blended Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Commercial Volume). Completing a strong showing, ALTO Delicate was awarded a Gold Medal.
At the 2026 Australian International Olive Awards, judges awarded ALTO Vividus Hardy’s Mammoth a Silver Medal in Class 5D, describing a delicate and harmonious oil with olive fruit, rocket and melon characters, hints of baby spinach, rosemary and dried herbs, balanced bitterness and a lingering pungency leading to a clean white pepper finish.
The 2026 Vividus is one of the final oils from ALTO’s founding Hopeful grove, making these results a fitting tribute to where the ALTO story began.
