NEW ERA FOR ALTO OLIVES

NEW ERA FOR ALTO OLIVES

The conclusion of the 2026 olive harvest marks the beginning of a new era for ALTO Olives. The highly regarded ALTO Olives family enterprise, established in 1999 by Robert Armstrong, has joined one of Australia’s premium olive oil producers, Oasis Olives, operated by the Symington family, with well-established groves in the Victorian Goulburn Valley and beyond.

The union of the ALTO portfolio with Oasis Olives marks an exciting new stage in the evolution of ALTO, one of Australia’s most highly regarded olive product brands, loved for its award-winning Extra Virgin oils and table olives.

Oasis Olives founder, John Symington, believes ‘There is a natural synergy in this collaboration and we are honoured to be entrusted with the ALTO legacy created by Robert Armstrong and his daughter Westerly Isbaih. Their passion and achievements are admired by many in the olive industry.’

‘The merger with ALTO Olives will provide a broader offering of olive oils and table olives into the food service and hospitality sectors, while maintaining the superior quality of the ALTO product range.’

John Symington highlights Oasis Olives’ commitment to excellence, sustainability and its use of traceability technology to ensure the ALTO range will meet the needs of our customers now and into the future.

ALTO Olives and Oasis Olives have collaborated for several years to create high-quality oil blends, especially for hospitality and food service customers, an alignment that will continue to support and grow ALTO Olives’ presence and reputation in the marketplace.

The ALTO Olives range of award-winning Extra Virgin Olive Oils and table olives remains unchanged, and new products are in development to be announced in the coming months.

‘ALTO Extra Virgin Olive Oils and table olives have always been crafted with precision and care, and for two decades have been the brand of choice for many of Australia’s top chefs, caterers and establishments in the hospitality and food service sectors,’ commented Westerly Isbaih, who continues as ALTO Sales & Marketing Manager.

Significantly, Westerly remains the chief blender for the ALTO Olives portfolio, providing technical, educational and marketing support.

The Oasis Olives grove and oil production teams ensure that the best quality olives are selected for the ALTO range, picked and processed within hours at the processing facility on the grove. This vertically integrated operation ensures retention of freshness, flavour and peak polyphenol and antioxidant levels, critical EVOO quality markers.

The 2026 new season ALTO Olives releases include two final oils from ALTO’s founding Hopeful grove: the prestige award-winning ALTO Vividus, crafted from the unique Australian variety Hardy’s Mammoth, and ALTO Novello, a special blend combining Hojiblanca from the Oasis Kialla grove and Volos from the original ALTO Hopeful grove. It is a testimony to the true synergy of the merger, and a fitting start to the new chapter in the continuing story of ALTO Olives.
